Port D’Andratx is among the most sought-after locations in Europe for luxury island living. This is the place where successful people like to own their holiday home, as it is only a short trip away from Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Russia, and just about any other European country.

However, we feel that Majorcan luxury living has been rather “old-fashioned” for much too long… with its traditional finca-inspired architecture, heavy furniture classics, and the overwhelming dominance of beige, brown and gray colors.

In 2009, Buchholz Woerdemann Real Estate came to Majorca to start servicing a new generation of millionaires: they are young, easy-going, often the “selfmade” type, that still enjoy the party side of life. Some are a bit rude and happy with it. It is this new crowd that we like building luxury villas for, mainly with our “LOVESHACK” brand. “Loveshack” is also our mission, as it conveys the type of feeling we want to create with our architecture and interior design.

When you hear “Loveshack,” you might first think of a small bamboo cottage with a straw roof, placed on an exotic white sand beach, maybe in California, Tahiti, the Bahamas or even the Maldives. It might bring back memories of wild parties, rasta types, kinky cocktails, steaming women, guys playing drums on the beach.

We look at it as a fresh new kind of luxury feeling we want to capture, and we have just spent the last five years of our lives building that addictive “Loveshack” sentiment into unique luxury villas. In a way, it’s the opposite of the strangely “sterile” atmosphere often exuded by many of the oldschool luxury residences.
